World War Two has been a fascination for me for my entire life. Being the son of a professional soldier who served
all four years of the war had something to do with it, but the impact of such a cataclysmic event on the world, including the destruction
of nearly 50 million people, left a searing impression on me. The why it happened has become much less interesting as time passes
compared to studying the incredible challenges individuals were confronted with, and how they faced those challenges. If anything
can give you faith in our ultimate ability to overcome virtually any adversity, studying this war will bring it to the surface.
My two earlier novels, FIRST AMONG MEN and INTO THE WET, first released in 2013 and 2015 respectfully, were both
based on the Pacific war. My father served in the Pacific, so there was a specific intent in the beginning to tell stories about the
more obscure, less well-known campaigns of the so-called backwater war. They were meticulously researched and I tried to blend my
narratives with as much factual accuracy as possible.
A new novel, HUNT OF THE KITE, followed my growing interest
in the intrigue, allied treachery and incredible bravery of the men and women who served out-of-sight in what in France was enemy-held
territory. This third book is scheduled for release in May of 2019.
In all my stories the key element I try to
achieve is historical accuracy in the time and place of the action(s), and the movement of the actual military units involved. Thank
you for your interest in the stories. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through the query button noted below.
